SITE PREPARATION AND DELIVERY

Prior to delivery, The Barn Yard recommends that you check with your town for specific ordinances and site specifications. If access is limited you may request The Barn Yard to perform a site check at the time of sale.

A level site is extremely important to the durability and functionality of your storage building. Our professional delivery service will level your building, however not the site. So, here are some helpful tips to prepare for your new building…

1. Decide where you are placing the building.
   Your site must be clear of all obstructions (e.g., fences, trees, etc.)
   The Barn Yard requires a minimum access height of 12’ and a
   minimum width of 3’ wider than the widest part of the building.
   For Example: 12’ wide building = 15’ of clearance width.
   

2. Stake out corners of building, allowing 1’ of extra space
   on each side.
   

3. Hang a string from the highest corner stake to the lowest.
   

4. Hang a line level on the string to find the level spot.
   

5. Prepare the stone pad* to level the site:
   3/4" crushed stone, 4-6 inches deep, 1’ larger than footprint of building.
   For Example: 10’ x 12’ building = 12’ x 14' stone pad.
   

6. Provide patio block (15-20) for minimal leveling.
   

*The Barn Yard recommends that all customers prepare a stone pad
  prior to delivery. This service can be performed by the customer
  or provided by the Barn Yard for an additional charge. For pricing,
